Terra Nova means 'New Earth' - CLEVER.
Here's some science for everyone: the global population of termites creates far more CO2 than humans can ever hope to aspire to. Also, C02 is what plants BREATHE, so why anti-C02 is called 'green' is baffling to a guy with a science degree.
Anyway, I don't wanna get into all that-read Michael Crichton's book A State of Fear for the complete skinny on the global warming hoax. So it's the dystopian future again, a guy brings home an orange and his family goes nuts. "Soylent Green is PEOPLE" echoing in my mind as I watched it. Bad overacting and lame lines like, "Dad will make it-he always does", and the 'tender' boyfriend leaving girlfriend for a bright future in the past: "Have a great life" she tells him. ~yawn~. Seen it.
I guess with the average IQ being 100 this show will be a hit even though it's a derivative of a derivative.
On the plus side the production is great-set designs etc are harrowingly realistic. Sigh-if only writers were as talented as the technical artistic staff. But I could say the same thing about a LOT of comic books: good art, bad writing. So I'm gonna give this show a -3 out of 5 stars, for trying to trick people into swallowing propaganda.
That's a wrap.

So, Kav, you're saying we writers should spend some time fact checking before we come off looking stoopid? Y'know, you got a point there;)And I already saw this in '94 when they called it "Jurassic Park," so yeah, I'm with you: it looks like a watered down version of an already watered down version of a half-assed sciencey/preachy story anyways.
