SONG OF THE DAY FOR OCTOBER 11, 2011: BERNADETTE BY THE FOUR TOPS

I was raised in a Motown and Stax home. At an early age I was listening to The Four Tops, The Temptations, Sam and Dave, and The Supremes. In my opinion, Motown and Stax were of the best record labels during the 1960s. The talent at both labels were impressive from the musicians, vocalists, producers, and songwriters like Smokey Robinson, Berry Gordy, Jr., Holland-Dozier-Holland, The Funk Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Isaac Hayes, David Porter, and Booker T and the MG's.

I'll be choosing more Motown and Stax selections in the future, but my first choice is a real jam. 'Bernadette' by The Four Tops is an absolute Motown classic.
